Finding Your Why - How To Overcome Fear, Depression, Injuries, and Addiction
“Our trauma is nourished by our refusal to acknowledge it, and starved by our attempts to try and understand it.” - Conner Furu
Today on the podcast we sit down with former football player from Drake University, Conner Furu. After 7 season-ending injuries and 1,646 days in between his last high school game and first college game, it’s hard not to quit. However, Conner found a way to keep fighting. On today’s episode we hear how he dealt with generational addictions and curses from his home life alongside many physical and emotional setbacks all before graduating college.
It’s pretty rare to see a 25 year old kid that has the life scars and bruises that Conner has. And, as you listen, you’ll see that that is the very reason he is so wise for his age. Whether you’re 10, 30, or 70 years old, everyone can learn from Conner’s story and his wisdom.
